Originally purchased from Hillside Wood Heat in Norwalk.
Owned for six years. Please see pictures for description of the stove. This has been an excellent stove for the time that we have owned it. All of the door gaskets were replaced a few years back. This unit runs off of a thermostat just like a standard furnace. Once it is lit, you can set the temperature output and let it go. A 200 pound hopper allows multiple days of burning without having to refill it. There is an extra ash pan that allows you to quickly swap out the pans to keep the unit going. The unit uses anthracite rice coal, which is a low dust and cleaner burning product that produces a high volume of heat. The unit easily heated a full basement that was over 1,700 square feet. The rice coal comes in 40 pound bags. We are currently remodeling our house. Before, our home was all electric heat. Today, a recently installed forced air LP furnace will provide our home with the heat that we need. This upgrade is the only reason we are selling the stove. Everything on it works as it should.
